Matthieu Py, European Contracts Support Service – Inria
Dr Matthieu Py has a background in materials science. He has experience as a researcher both in France (CEA-Léti), where he obtained his PhD in 2011 and in Japan (Kyoto University). He was involved in fostering international relationships for S&T between Japan and Europe from mid-2013 in his quality of deputy attaché at the S&T division of the Embassy of France in Japan, and from mid-2014 more specifically focusing on building joint projects and supporting researcher career mobility with EU funding as the of EURAXESS Japan & Korea offices head. In early 2020 he came back to Europe to participate in the creation of an in-house European projects support cell at the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology, INRIA (Grenoble and Lyon Centres). Since then he participated in stimulating the research teams and drafting of dozens of European projects of individual or collaborative nature.

Experienced expert with a demonstrated history of working in the international affairs, with public and private organizations, about research and innovation funding. Professional skilled in Science, Technology and Innovation Management, Dissemination, Networking and Research and Innovation proposal’s evaluation. Excellent knowledge of European Research and Innovation Programmes, in general, and specifically in Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Advanced Manufacturing and Processing, Artificial Intelligence area and Innovation actions. Experienced project manager.
